Nextronics sensor bar HD uses infrared technology to communicate directly to the Wii remotes. The Wii remote uses the signals from the sensor bar to determine cursor placement on the screen. The extra length of the sensor bar and distance between the sensors greatly improves cursor jitter, tracking, and range.
